neurofibromas

Neurofibromas are small non-cancerous tumours that develop on nerves in the skin and, occasionally, deeper inside the body. They show as lumps under the skin, which can vary in size. Some neurofibromas may be soft, while others are firm and round. They can increase in size and number as the child gets older.
